Susan H. O'Grady, CFP®
Susan O'Grady is president of Equipoise Wealth Management, Inc. - a fee-only
Registered Investment Advisor located in Denver, Colorado. Equipoise has
provided financial planning and tax preparation services to a diverse clientele
since 1987. In September 2002, Susan was honored by Mutual Funds
magazine as one
of the top 100 financial planners in the country. This is the second consecutive
year Ms. O'Grady has been recognized by Mutual Funds for excellence as a
Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner.
In addition to her financial planning activities. Susan has served as a
part-time faculty
member at Metropolitan State College of Denver, as well as at the Denver campus
of the University of Phoenix. She earned her bachelor's degree from Towson State
University and her master's degree from the University of Phoenix.
An advocate for financial literacy, Susan founded the RainyDay Foundation, a
non-profit organization under IRS section 501(c)(3), to promote wise money
behaviors leading to family economic health. Furthermore, Ms. O'Grady has written
"Working Money" columns for the Rocky Mountain News and contributed
to articles in Newsweek, The New York Post, Readers Digest,
and Working Woman to name just a few.
Susan actively supports the legitimacy of the CFP designation and the growth
of the financial planning profession as a former member of the CFP Board of Examiners.
In addition, she develops courses and serves as a subject matter expert for various
financial planning trade associations.
